We know that a holiday is only truly successful when your dog can be part of it.
At Into the Prairie, our holiday homes welcome travellers accompanied by their four-legged friends, in a peaceful, natural setting in the heart of the Breton countryside, just 15 minutes from the sea..

Here, you can enjoy your holiday in the great outdoors: walks from your cottage, dog-friendly beaches nearby (with an up-to-date list provided by Liz) and numerous country lanes for long strolls. I will be happy to share the best ideas for outings or activities to do with your dog so that you can enjoy Brittany to the fullest together.

This certification guarantees that we meet certain criteria for welcoming animals, ensuring a quality experience for both owners and their dogs.

Quiet, natural surroundings: peaceful countryside with very little traffic.

Our conditions of stay

In order to ensure a pleasant stay for all our guests, a few simple rules apply:

1 dog per cottage (please ask me if you have 2)
Dogs are accepted all year round, except in July and August.
Dogs are allowed in 7 of the 9 houses: Florence, Jeanne, Anne, Louise, Rose, Isidore & Farmhouse.
Supplément: 50€ per stay, corresponding to the additional cleaning time.
For the safety of the farm animals, we cannot accept dogs classified as category 2 (guard and defence dogs).
Please let us know if you will be bringing your dog when you make your booking request.

Life on the farm

Into the Prairie is a family farm where the following animals live:

cows in the meadows
two free-range hens
a cat

For everyone's safety:

Dogs must be kept on a leash in common areas.
They are free to roam in the private garden of their cottage.
Poop bags are available.

Well-being and tranquillity

We welcome calm dogs that are accustomed to staying in accommodation. Dogs must not be left alone if they are anxious or prone to barking.

If you have any special circumstances, please do not hesitate to discuss them with me before your stay.

liz's tips: Dog-friendly beaches near Into the Prairie

Here are some of our favourite beaches, where our guests enjoy walking their dogs. Most beaches welcome dogs outside the summer season (usually from October to May), and some allow access early in the morning or in the evening during the summer.

Isnain Beach – Saint-Quay-Portrieux
Dogs are allowed all year round, without any restrictions. This pebble and sand beach is located near the town centre, the casino and shops, with the GR34 coastal path running alongside it.
Bonaparte Beach – Plouha
A large natural beach surrounded by cliffs, ideal for long walks and offering plenty of space for dogs, especially at low tide.
Gwin Zégal – Plouha
A small sheltered cove with its unique pile harbour. A quiet and unspoilt spot, perfect for a peaceful outing with your dog.
Port Goret – Plouha
A more open beach with beautiful sea views and large areas for walking at low tide.
Godelins Beach – Étables-sur-Mer
A beautiful sandy beach, ideal for families and long walks by the sea when dogs are allowed.

During your stay, I will be happy to provide you with the latest local information on beach access and advise you on the best places to walk your dog, as regulations may vary depending on the season and municipality.
