Just a 2-minute drive away (or a 10-minute stroll), you will find bakeries, restaurants, cafés, and of course, the local market. The former printing works of Le Petit Écho de la Mode stands as a testament to the town's industrial past and now houses a cultural centre as well as the tourist office.

The market is often the first port of call on holiday. Every Monday morning, the one in Châtelaudren gently rouses the village: a few stalls, local produce, the scent of crêpes, and friendly chatter. People come for the local goods, but above all for the atmosphere—that feeling that the holidays have truly begun. It’s perfect to combine with a stroll through Châtelaudren’s historic centre, a walk up to the chapel, or a wander around the lake.
